Llif Welsh (noun) current/ flow/ stream

Llif is an Aran weight sleeveless sweater vest, with cables that appear to flow up the front of the vest, split to follow the V-neck line and then flow down the back.
Llif is knit in the round from the hem up to the underarms where it splits and is worked back and forth up to the shoulders. The shoulder seams are finished with a three needle bind off. The neckline and armhole edging are then picked up and worked in the round.
This pattern is designed to be a waist length cropped design, but it may be worked longer or shorter as desired so long as the correct chart repeat is worked to, the pattern indicates where this applies.

The cables in this design are charted and have written instructions of those charts.
