Loba Shawl – Crochet Pattern

I designed the Loba Shawl for crocheters who love vibrant color, rich texture, and the joy of discovering new stitches. This triangular shawl blends puff stitches, clusters, long double crochet, and granny motifs, joined in a unique way to create a wearable work of art.

Originally launched as a Mystery CAL in 2023, this design is full of surprises: each section introduces a new stitch pattern and a fresh color combination, keeping your hook inspired from start to finish.

The generous wingspan and dramatic drape make it perfect for layering over dresses, coats, or your favorite festival outfit.

Finished size (after blocking): approx. 240 cm / 94.5” wingspan x 110 cm / 43.3” depth.

  • C1: White (01) – 2 skeins (280 m)

• Rosários4 Ecofriendly Collection – Real Merino (100% Merino Superwash, 100 g / 290 m):

Materials:

• Sport or DK weight yarn (as above or equivalent yardage)
• 4 mm (US G-6) crochet hook
• 3 stitch markers
• Row counter (optional but highly recommended)
• Tapestry needle & scissors

Pattern features:

• Written in US crochet terms
• Row-by-row written instructions + progress charts
• Step-by-step video tutorials for each section
• Tips for gauge, blocking, and finishing
• Techniques: puff stitch, 5DC clusters, granny square motifs, color changes every 2 rows, modular joining

This is an intermediate-level project, but confident beginners will enjoy it too thanks to the detailed guidance.

Chal Loba – Patrón de Ganchillo
Diseñé el Chal Loba pensando en crocheteras que aman el color, la textura y descubrir nuevos puntos. Es un chal triangular que combina puntos puff, burbuja, puntos altos alargados y preciosos grannys, unidos con una técnica especial para crear una pieza única y espectacular.

Originalmente fue un Mystery CAL que se organizó en 2023, así que cada sección es una sorpresa: nuevos puntos, cambios de color y texturas que mantienen tu entusiasmo de principio a fin. Tras el bloqueo, el chal adquiere una caída increíble y una puntilla tipo pompón que lo convierte en una prenda protagonista.

Medidas finales (bloqueado): aprox. 240 cm de envergadura x 110 cm de profundidad.

Es un proyecto de nivel intermedio, aunque tejedoras con experiencia básica y ganas de aprender disfrutarán mucho gracias a las instrucciones y vídeos.
