Lobster smucks

These Lobster Slippers were inspired by a special lady who has the charisma to slip on a pair of lobster shoes to a party and make them look extravagant and lavish.
I hope you enjoy the opulence of my knitted interpretation.
Rest assured no lobsters were harmed in the production! ‘Smucks’ are the Shetland name for carpet slippers.

The pattern is for UK foot size 7-9 (26cm long and 13 cm wide) but the actual size can be changed quite dramatically using larger or smaller needle sizes.
Please pay particular attention to the required tension as my knitting tends to be tight.

The Lobster Slippers are made in just two colours of Aran weight Shetland wool. I used beautiful organic, unbleached Shetland wool from Uradale Yarns. You will need 50G x 2 ball for MC and 50G x 1 ball for CC.
