Log Cabin Love Coasters
You dream of steeking, but you’re afraid to take the plunge? The Log Cabin Love Coasters are a great introduction to this technique!
Stabilize your steeks with crocheted stitches, and then cut. It may seem counter-intuitive to knit in the round just to cut, but stranded colorwork is easier to knit in the round rather than flat.
This pattern makes three or four coasters at the same time. Why? It all fits on a 16”circular needle. You don’t have to fiddle with dpns or magic loop, and you have two (or three) chances to cut your steeks.
Bonus: You get to play with a log cabin knitting border.
This pattern uses 2 50g balls of yarn, one in each of two colors. You’ll also need a 16” circular needle, and a crochet hook 2 sizes smaller than your knitting needle. And SCISSORS!
