Now you can crochet oxfords and slip-ons for your doll from the same pattern. This pattern is part crochet, part craft. The uppers are crocheted, sewn to a foam insole, and glued to the outer sole. The skill level has been rated intermediate because, while the crochet stitches and shapes are simple, thread can be a little tricky to crochet if you are not experienced with it.

This PDF crochet pattern is designed to fit 18” dolls such as American Girl®.

Recommended Fabrics: Cotton crochet thread

Supplies Needed:
-Size 10 crochet thread
-Size 8 (1.5mm) steel crochet hook
-Sharp large eye needle
-Scrap of fabric for insole lining (optional)
-4-inch by 4-inch piece of 1/8 to 3/32-inch thick cork sheet
-3 inches of ½” – ¾” elastic (for slip-ons only)
-Sewing needle or sewing machine and thread
-Shoelaces (options for laces re given in the pattern)
-Fray-Check
-Tacky glue
-Clips or clothespins
-4-inch by 4-inch piece of 2 mm craft foam sheet (or 2 foam Pixie Pack soles)
-Emery board or sandpaper
