Description: This top-down raglan-sleeve cardigan has a distinct twisted-rib pattern on neck, body and cuffs. It is worked seamlessly from neck down, then separated for body and sleeves. The body is finished, then sleeves are picked up and worked in the round to end of cuff. Check the finished measurements as it has been designed with little to no ease in most sizes, if you want some positive ease you may prefer to size up. Shown in size M.
Sizes: XS (S, M, L, 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X) to fit standard sizes 28-30 (32-34, 36-38, 40-42, 44-46, 48-50, 52-54, 56-58, 60-62)” / 71-76 (81-86, 91.5-96.5, 101.5-106.5, 111.5-117, 122-127, 132-137, 142-147, 152-158) cm. See schematic for finished garment measurements.
Needles: US 6 (4.0mm) circular needles 24”/61cm long
Gauge: 17sts x 27rows = 4”/10cm measured over St st; 20x25 = 4”/10cm measured over twisted rib. Please note, I knit loose.
Yarn: 3 (4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7, 8) balls of Soft Kid by GGH (discontinued) Aran; 70% Mohair, 25% Nylon, 5% Wool; 151 yards / 25 grams. As a substitute, any light and airy yarn that will give you the gauge should work. Avoid heavy yarns, they will pull the cardigan down.
Buttons: 7, 1”/25mm diameter (RS) and 0.25”/6.5mm (WS).
Other notions: sts markers, waste yarn or sts holders.
