This is what one of my friends called a “masterpiece”. :-)

The Lonne cardigan is a great project for advanced knitters. It’s knitted from the bottom up in separate pieces, which are sewn together at the end. The eye-catching details of this cardigan are the lace hem and the elegant lace border on the front panels. The main (eyelet) pattern is quite easy to knit, but the lace pattern requires some experience.

Bust circumference of finished cardigan:

42 (45/48/51) inches

Gauge:
21 sts and 33 rows in eyelet pattern = 4 inches in square 10 x 10 cm

Materials:

  • I used the Single Kid Mohair yarn from Mohair by canard (65% kid mohair, 35% merino, yardage 382 yds 350 m/50 g). You’ll need approx 150 (200/200/250) g, here shown in color “Blue Shadow” (color #1102)

  • US size 2.5 (3,0 mm) circular needles (or any size to obtain gauge)

  • stitch holders

  • crochet hook (3,0 mm)

  • 7 small buttons (12 mm diameter)
