Look Sharp Socks
Pattern description from Son of Stitch ‘n Bitch: “I hate making socks. I would rather drive a set of 000 double points into my eyes than make a pair of socks. Yet I loved knitting these, which are constructed using the entrelac method with two wildly contrasting colors of yarn. While they are an interesting project, they do take a bit more time to finish because there are approximately 29,443 stitches to a pair. (Yes, I figured it out.) But I can guarantee you, if you make these socks, people won’t just say, ‘Nice socks!’ Instead, they’ll go, ‘Those are the coolest things I’ve ever seen!; Made with yarn that is a combination of cotton and elastic, they’ll stay up like nobody’s business, and the care is minimal. Although the yarn manufacturer suggest hand washing, I have a couple of pairs that I routinely throw in the washer and dryer with everything else (except bleach!) and they still are wearing like iron.”
