Loom Knit Owl
This pattern is
available for free.
Instructions are included for making this owl on the following looms:
Round hat looms (such as Knifty Knitter, Boye, Loops and Threads):
- 24 peg (5/8” peg spacing)
- 31 peg (5/8” peg spacing)
- 36 peg (3/4” peg spacing)
- 28 large pegs (3/4” peg spacing) on the Martha Stewart Loom
I’ve used a variety of yarns with great success from worsted weight, boucle, and novelty types like boa and eyelash. Be creative and have fun with your choices.
You will need felt or buttons for the eyes and matching thread.
On a side note, when making these, I learned that a group of owls is called a ‘parliament’. This is the most popular and accepted term, but can also include: bazaar, brood, congress, diss, eyrie, glaring, hooting, ‘LOOMING’, nest, stare, stooping, and wisdom.
lol I’ve loomed a ‘looming’ of owls!
