Loop Bag
Our latest Big Cotton pattern helps you create this super cute, 70s style cotton bag – perfect for more intermediate knitters or those who like a bit of a challenge.
Our Loop Bag is a fun take on the popular string shopper bags, finished with loop handles to create a loose handbag style.
This pattern uses a combination of knit stitch, yarn over and K2tog; you create a diagonal lace stitch which follows the bag around. Knit in the round so no sewing up (aside from attaching the handles) With a generous gusset you’ve got plenty of space without it being too ‘gappy’ that things fall through the holes!
Finish the bag with a pair of 13cm round handles (you can find these online) and you’ve got a pretty and practical bag to carry your handbag essentials, extra yarn or some shopping. It can also make the perfect gift for friends or family!
