Lopi Love
This pattern is another in my Love My Stash collection (See also Forest Glass, Love my Stash Sweater and Love my Deco Wrap) This pattern was designed with stash busting in mind, and is a great sweater to play around with color work, stripes and color blocking while using up some treasured stash yarn.
Don’t have this yarn in your stash??
You can try holding lighter weight yarns double to achieve a similar gauge!
Please enjoy 30% off the pattern with the coupon code LOPILOVE from 3/10/2022 through Midnight PST 3/13/2022.
Yarn
Lettlopi Worsted Weight Yarn, 100% Icelandic Wool, approximately 109 yards/ 100g/skein. NOTE: This is a heavy worsted weight yarn, an Aran weight could work here as well!
Approximately 600 (654, 720, 800) (880, 940, 980) 1040 yards total*
Note this is a scrappy stash busting sweater, for the sample shown here I used just under 2 skeins each of the Dark Blue and Yellow, and under 1 skein each of the Light blue and pink.
This sweater can be worked in as little as 2 colors, or as many as you have! Feel free to get creative with the chart by changing your background color as well as your contrast color (as I did for the sample shown above; in the pattern I refer to Colors A, B and C, for the Monochromatic Version).
Materials
US Size 8 (5.0 mm) circular needles, minimum 8” cord
US Size 11 (8.0 mm) circular needles, minimum 30” cord.
US Size 11 (8.0 mm) circular needles, minimum 8” cord for sleeves.
OR SIZE needed to obtain gauge, if you go up or down a needle size for your main fabric, you will want to use a needle that is approximately 3 sizes smaller for your collar, hem and cuffs.
A note on cord lengths, you may want shorter and longer cord lengths for your larger needles so that you can start at the top with a shorter cord and increase to a longer one as your sweater grows in circumference.
Optional: DPN’s in both needles sizes for sleeves, or a longer cord in your smaller needle size for magic loop.
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers (1 distinct one for your BOR, optional up to 16 more to separate your chart repeats).

Notes
This quick knit is worked in the round from the top down. The collar is cast on with smaller needles, then the body is worked with the larger needles. Short rows are worked across the back to shape the shoulders. An original color work chart is worked throughout the yoke, then sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is knit in the round. Sleeve stitches are picked up and knit in the round down to the cuff.
