Abbreviations

BO= Bind off
CO= Cast On
K= Knit
K2tog= Knit the next two stitches together (1 stitch decreased).
M1L=pick up the bar between the stitch you knit and the one you’re about to knit, bringing the needle from front to back, knit into back of stitch
M1R=pick up the bar between the last stitch you knit and the one you’re about to knit, bringing the needle from the back to the front, knit into front of st
P= Purl
PM= Place marker
RS= Right side of work
SM= Slip marker

Notes
This triangular poncho is knit in two pieces (front and back) from the bottom up and seamed at the shoulders. Stitches are picked up around the collar for finishing. This piece can be worn with either the long triangle in front, or turned 90 degrees for a shorter coverage of the torso and more coverage over the arms.
