Lorna Doone Shawl
Lorna Doone was inspired by the character Lorna Doone from the novel of the same name, written in 1869 by R D Blackmore.
The book is a dramatic romance and is set in the beautiful East Lyn valley on Exmoor.
We are very lucky to live and work a few miles away from the book’s setting.
I have designed and made this triangular wrap for Lorna to keep her warm on the windswept high moor.
The photographs on this pattern were taken near the mouth of the East Lyn river at Lynmouth, Exmoor.
