Made in soft fingering weight merino wool, Lotus Cowl features an asymmetrical lace pattern panel on stockinette stitch background. It is simple, elegant and fun to knit. The pattern is available on its own or as part of a mini e-book with a matching hat pattern, Lotus Hat.

Long tail cast on, knit, purl, decreases, increases, working in the round.

To make the cowl larger or smaller, add or subtract a multiple of 7 sts.

Gauge (measured after blocking)
• Lace pattern: 1 pattern repeat of 7 sts and 8 rows is 3.4 cm/ 1.3 in wide
and 2.3 cm/ 0.9 in high, with main needle
• Stockinette st: 23 sts and 35 rows = 10 cm/ 4 in, with main needle

600 m/ 660 yds of fingering weight yarn.
