Louie's Favorite Socks
Here is my recipe for Louie’s Favorite Socks.
I start at the cuff with a half double slip stitch cast on (or elastic crochet cast on).
Using a crochet hook the same size as your knitting needles or just a bit bigger, make a slip knot, * yarnover, wrap yarn around the needle and pull through both loops; repeat from * until desired number of stitches minus one, and transfer the last loop from hook onto needle.
The sock continues with 2x2 ribbing for the entire leg;
a slip stitch heel flap and Dutch or square heel;
Foot is worked in stockinette;
and a modified round toe finishes it off!
ADJUST NEEDLE SIZE AS NEEDED! Yarn categories are a range, so not all sock yarn is exactly the same. Some yarn I need to use a 2.25 mm needle, others I need to use a 1.75 mm needle.
