This hat worked with worsted weight yarn (4) and would be easy enough for a beginner crocheter to make.

Size 5mm Hook
Worsted Weight Yarn (4) I used Red Heart Soft but you can use any 4 weight yarn you would like.
Scissors
Measuring tape
Yarn needle
