a crown much loved by my kids, finally in pattern form.

they love to wear these rightside out, inside out, upside down, upside down pulled low over their noses … you get the picture. i love to watch their minds at work as they continue to make up new pretend play scenarios that these are props for.

requires less than a skein each of 2 leftover shades of nature cotton. the bobbles & the inside could be knit in different colors to use up even more of smaller scrap pieces.

due to the intense stretch of the araucania yarn, this fits both my 2 year old and my 9 year old well. this same pattern knit in a worsted weight yarn (see my project ‘loved II’) will fit 6 to 18 month olds. also super cute on stuffed animals.
