Lovers' Mitts
2 mitten sets, plus a fifth mitten for two people to hold hands
Knit these cosy mitts to keep your love warm on Valentine’s Day. One pair each and an alternative fifth glove designed for two people holding hands.
These fun mitts are worked in the round using a fairly simple Fair Isle pattern alternating with plain bands making them a good choice for a novice Fair Isle knitter or a nice piece of relaxation for the more advanced! Other techniques include grafting or alternatively three needle cast off. Of course it is perfectly fine to cast off and simply sew up the tops of the mitts if neither technique appeals.
To fit small to medium medium to large, two clasped adult hands.
Finished measurements:
Width around hand above thumb 1922: 29cm (7½8½: 11½ ins).
Length from bottom edge of cuff to top of mitt 2427.5: 22cm
(9¼11: 9¼in).
