A very cuddly and fun cushion to knit using Aran or Worsted (10 ply) yarn for the background and the back of the cushion. Whilst the Sheep are knitted in a chunky fluffy yarn. The knitting pattern gives full instructions and there is a clear, large chart to follow for knitting the sheep.

This would make a lovely gift for someone special or you may love it too much to give away!

I had a competition amongst my followers on my Facebook Page to name the cushion and the name that won is “Loving Ewe Sheep Cushion”

The pillow measurements: 40 cm x 40 cm (16in x 16in)

Materials – Aran/Worsted Yarn (10 ply)
2 - 100 gram balls – Grey
1 - 100 gram ball – Pink
1 - 100 gram ball – Black

1 - 100 gram ball – Sirdar Touch Eskimo (011) for the Sheep
Small amount of White Aran Yarn (used double) for the eyes

Suggestions for yarns and links to suppliers are given in the knitting pattern.

Other Supplies required:
Knitting Needles
1 pair of 4 mm (UK8 - US6)
1 pair of 5 mm (UK6 – US8)
4 buttons

The cushion is knitted in one piece and the back has a four button opening for easy removal of the cover for washing. Add some lovely sheep buttons to add interest to the back of the cushion.

If you already have Aran/Worsted yarns (10 ply) these could be used as long as they match the tension gauge. Change the background colour to knit a unique cushion for your home or knit as a gift for someone you know who deserves a cuddle from these fluffy sheep.
