The Low Tide Shawl is a textured accessory, featuring combinations of eyelet lace and cables. The textured design is inspired by the ripples of sand, tiny rivulets of water and scatterings of pebbles and shells left on the beach by a receding tide.

CONSTRUCTION
The shawl is constructed in three sections: a Centre Panel, a Left Wing and a Right Wing, all of which are worked flat. The Centre Panel is worked first, starting with an I-Cord, then with a repeating textured pattern worked top down. Towards the end of this panel, decreases are worked to taper the panel to a point. Along each side of the Centre Panel, stitches are picked up to work each wing. The wings feature a similar textured panel and each are also tapered to a point, to form a V-shaped shawl.

The cable and lacework pattern is available as written instructions or charts to suit personal preference.
