Must know loop stitch for this pattern. Planet June has an EXCELLENT video tutorial on youtube. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iuR0OlDqH0g

Lucas Lion pattern was my 3rd design after Timothy Bear, and Milfred Moose. This cuddly little guy loves hugs and going on adventures, exploring behind the couch and will protect you from monsters under the bed. 12” standing, this little guy is great for travel.

Materials:
•Red Heart Soft Touch in any color you choose (140 g/290yds)
•Red Heart Soft Touch in contrasting color for embroidering the nose (36”)
•Hook size 3.5mm
•Yarn Needle
•9mm or 12mm safety eyes (optional, you may embroider the eyes if you like)
•Fiberfill stuffing

Notes:
•It is best to crochet the body LAST as the arms and legs are crocheted into the construction of the body. I have created the lion this way to avoid sewing and the chances of knots coming loose.
•Work in continuous rounds, do not join or turn.
•Crochet through both front and back loops at all times.
