Luce is an over-the-elbow pair of fingerless gloves, knit seamlessly from the elbow up in a fishnet lace with a plaited seam, and named after a friend of mine who can only be described as chaotically elegant. It combines everything I love in a project: a logical, memorable pattern, a little bit of cabling and a lot of lace, a few twisted stitches and near-breakneck speed. Shaping is created with an open lace pattern contrasted with some twisted rib, because who doesn’t love a few gauge-related tricks in their knitting? Luce has a lot of negative ease so don’t worry if you think it looks like it’s going to be too tight – the lace pattern has a lot of stretch to it!

Includes three sizes: Small/Medium/Large by wrist circumference (approx 6”/7”/8” including some negative ease). Length is easily adjustable and instructions on doing so are provided.
