Luck Has Nothing to Do With It
A somewhat tongue-in-cheek nod to the traditional aran sweater, Luck Has Nothing to Do With It is a classic crewneck pullover. The cabled clovers at the neckline, shoulders and cuffs reference the original fishermen sweaters of the west coast of Ireland, which - in contrast to later aran designs - featured poignant, but minimal, cabled embellishments.

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan sleeve construction. Subtle details - including wide raglans, and folded neckband and cuffs - add interest to an otherwise classic and simple garment. Instructions are offered for straight or A-Line bodice options, and for back shaping.
Designed for S Twist Wool, this pattern will suit a variety of aran-weight yarns.
Luck Has Nothing to Do with It is unisex, versatile sweater, certain to become a cherished wardrobe staple.
