Lullaby is a soft raglan pullover worked with a strand of dark mohair and one of a light laceweight yarn held together. On the side “seams” and on the center front a simple cable pattern is worked using the laceweight yarn alone, so to stand out with its light color over the darker background in a clear yet delicate filigree.
On the bottom hem, the mohair yarn is used in 2 different colors with a play of fading from a color to another (optional).
Diamond cables worked in the lighter color underline the center of this pullover, the side “seams”, the hems and the funnel neck. This is a fun and easy way to knit colorwork and cables together, with a subtle and striking effect at the same time.
The mohair provide color to the whole sweater, with an interesting fade effect on the body that is really easy to achieve.
Lullaby is worked seamlessly from the top down with raglan shaping, starting from the shoulders and growing down to form the rest of the body.
This pullover has a loose fitted line and it is intended to be worn with 2-3” ease, with no waist shaping.
The length is slightly cropped with a slit on the sides, dividing the front from the back at waist.

22 sts x 31 rows= 4 in x 4 in / 10 cm x 10 cm in stockinette stitch with one strand of laceweight + 1 strand of mohair held together.

C2: Rowan Kidsilk Haze (70% Mohair, 30% Silk; 230 yds210 m/25 g), col. 00685 Bluebird; 600 (650, 700, 750) [800, 850, 900] (950, 1000) m.
C3: Rowan Kidsilk Haze (70% Mohair, 30% Silk; 230 yds210 m/25 g), col. 00660 Turkish Plum; 200 (250, 250, 250) [300, 350, 400] (450, 500) m.
Note: It is possible to use just one color of Kidsilk, in that case you’ll need the same amount of Kidsilk and Fine Lace.
