Fun and practical, it seems like everyone puts a smile on when they try on this beard. Maybe you need one for hunting, snowboarding, or being playoff ready in seconds? It’s the kind of pattern that will inspire you to knit more than one!
The hat is an easy but pleasing purl striped pattern and the beard is created using short rows and a brioche-like stitch. Each row is written out in abbreviations.
Yarn: Bulky weight yarn such as Bernat Roving,
approximately 80 yards hat colour; approximately
20 yards beard colour.
Tools: 6 mm (US 10) 120 cm (40 inch) circular
knitting needle, 6.5 mm (US 10.5) 120 cm (40 inch)
circular knitting needle, 6.5 mm (US 10.5) double
pointed needles, (or sizes needed to obtain gauge/
or equivalent needles for magic loop method);
tapestry needle.
