Luminary is a romantic shawl with traditional garter cables twisting along its borders. Softened by a picot point edge with a new teardrop stitch along the stripes, it’s as pretty as it is interesting to knit.

Starting at a central garter tab, the Reverse Stockinette Stitch and Tear Drop Stripes are worked outwards to the border. Stitches for the border are then cast on, and the border lace is worked from right to left perpendicular to the rest of the shawl.
