I wanted to play with the combinations of fibers and texture and the contrast they can produce. Using two different yarns provides a lot of contrast but introducing a textured pattern like Seed stitch adds even more interest in how the two yarns interact with each other.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skills Needed: Work in the round with 2 colors using stranded method. Stranded knitting (often called ‘Fair Isle’ knitting) is a method of working two colors in a single row or round to create a pattern. You will find a video tutorial from WEBS HERE that shows the process.

Attention: Instructions are given for the Cowl, followed by instructions for Infinity Scarf in parenthesis ().

In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Luminate Cowl or Infinity Scarf

YARNS

Biscotte Yarns - GRIFFON (100% Merino Superwash, 165 m / 180 yds, 100g)– 1 (2) skein(s) in Fraise (Bettrave) as MC
Louise Robert Collection - Suri Alpaca (100% Suri Alpaca, 210 m / 218 yds, 50g), 1 (1) skein in Waterhouse (Canvas) as CC

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Circumference: 50.5 cm/ 20.25 in (107 cm /42.75 in)
Height: 24 cm/ 9.5 in (21.5 cm / 8.5 in)
Note that the slight difference in the height measurements is due to the additional length and fabric weight of the Infinity Scarf.
