Lumpy Socks
Consisting of knits and purls, the staggered single and double ribbing rhythmically alternate throughout this pattern. There’s no need for a defined separate “ribbing” section on the cuff of the socks; instead, jump right into the lumpy pattern with no worry about the edges curling. While not entirely mindless, the stitches are easy to remember and you won’t need the chart after a few repeats. The best part? If you make a mistake, or even a handful of mistakes, they really won’t show up, especially in a speckled or variegated colorway.
