Luna’s Crown & Fingerless Gloves
The yarn itself is 100% merino, in sport weight, with approx. 325 yards in the skein. I used about half of my skein, with enough left over for at least another pair of fingerless gloves for Sean.
I didn’t even have to plan anything out, I just grabbed my 4 mm hook and started chaining. I quickly realized this was going to be a fingerless glove set of sorts, I just wasn’t sure how the headband was going to look. I made the gloves super simple, single crochets and an afterthought cuff, but I wanted them to be able to be made with essentially any yarn in your stash from sport weight to worsted weight, just a little adjustments made with the starting chain count might need to be made for the fingerless gloves.
The headband on the other hand is a little different. This was made to be more of a crown, with texture to show off the variegations in the yarn. Liz has a channel point redemption in her channel to have her wear one of her many magical crowns, so the second that popped into my head I knew it had to be a crown. And as many of you know, I am a sucker for anything worked in the 3rd loop of half double crochets, so that had to be a part of the headband too.
