Lydia
Lydia is designed with a check and stripes pattern, worked with the intarsia method. The hems, armhole bands & V-neck band are worked with single ribbing. The back and front are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together.
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Lydia sweater:
Biscotte Yarns – LaDouce MCN (80% Merino Superwash, 10% extra soft cashmere and 10% nylon; 350 m / 382 yds; 115 g):
- MC – Caramel: 1 (2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins.
- CC – Aqua: 1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2) skeins.
- Circular needle size 3 mm (US #2.5)
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker
- Locking stitch marker
SIZES
S (M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL).
To fit 81 (91.5, 101.5, 112, 122, 132, 142, 152.5) cm / 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60)“ bust with 11 cm / 4 ½” ease.
GAUGE
26 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm; 4” in colour-work pattern after wet blocking.
The front, and back are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn together. After the shoulders are sewn, sts are picked up across the armhole edges, and the band is knitted in single ribbing. Then sts are picked up around neck and the V-neck band is knitted in the round in single ribbing.
