The fabric is sufficiently lightweight that it makes for a truly seasonless piece; the merino/silk/alpaca blend yarn is a sportweight, so its inherent warmth is offset by fineness and the open stitch patterning, it’s easy to work, since the lace-and-seed patterning is only 4 rows. Edges are self-finishing, so blocking and sewing the shoulder, sleeve, and side seams are all you have to do when the knitting is completed.
