This women’s waterfall front lace vest is worked back and forth from the bottom back hem up to the neckline in one piece. Minimal finishing is required for this piece as the hems and armhole bands are worked all at once with the lace body. The vest is designed to be worn as a
loose and flowing layering piece, to help transition your wardrobe from summer into fall.

Finished Sizes: To fit bust circumference of 32-38 (40-46, 48-54)” or 81.25-96.5 (101.5-117, 122137) cm. Sample is shown in size 32-38” (81.25-96.5 cm). Model has bust circumference of 34 ½” (87.5
cm).

If choosing to substitute yarns, select one with a nice drape and not too much halo. Note that superwash wools/wool blends may sag a bit due to the weight of this piece, so be sure to work a large gauge swatch and plan accordingly.

The Celtic festival of Mabon celebrates the autumnal equinox, generally around the 21st of September, depending on the lunar calendar. This is one of the two times of the year when the 24-hour day cycle is divided equally into 12 hours of light and 12 hours of dark. It is a time to recognize the waning long days of high summer and transition into the darker days of fall and winter. It is the second harvest festival of the Celtic year, and is also known as the Wine Harvest or the Feast of Avalon.
