Add an extra dimension to your knitting with this clever combination of colour work and embroidery.

This set is worked flat and seamed afterwards. The flower heads are worked using intarsia, then the flower stems and outlines are added afterwards by means of a crochet slip-stich technique.

I am a fan of all things Art Nouveau and greatly admire the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The stylised flowers of this hat and mitt set are my nod at Mackintosh’s effortless elegance. Perhaps there’s a “Bright Young Thing” in your life who would
appreciate this elegant set.
