Mackinac Shawl

Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
Mackinac is a semicircular lace shawl worked from the neck down in one piece.
Yarn: The shawl as pictured was knitted with three strands of lace-weight held triple, changing the colors one strand at a time to create long gradients of color. To do this you will need approximately 2600 yards of a lace-weight yarn.
The shawl may also be knit using approximately 850 yards of a single strand of fingering-weight wool or another fiber that drapes well. A colorway with very long color runs will suit the pattern best.
Supplies:
- US size 9 24” circular needle
- 2 stitch markers
- tapestry needle
- blocking pins
Finished Measurements: Finished shawl measures approximately 56” wide (tip to tip) and 28” long (center back).
This is the pattern for Week Thirty of Pattern a Week at Running Jack Knits.
