This raglan sweater is designed for Tess’ Silk & Ivory yarn, knitted bottom-to-top on circular needles. The lace pattern looks well on a large range of needle sizes; consequently the instructions are given for two size groups: small-medium (bust size approximately 36”) and medium-large (bust size approximately 42”). Variations within these ranges can be achieved by adjusting the gauge (use larger or smaller needles). Directions are given for the smaller size, with changes for the larger size in parenthesis.

The body and sleeve lengths can be adjusted to suit (which will change the required yardage), but both must end on the same pattern row.

New version Sept 4, 2015 fixes a few typing errors that escaped proofreading, stitch count corrections, correction to larger size, and clarifications. This version has charts as well as written instructions, and an appendix with hints about how to manage the lace pattern when working the raglan decreases.

A big thank you dannesie, Ryna-Lyn, and Selana!
