Part statement piece, part practical wardrobe staple, the Madison Scarf was inspired by runway fashion. Wear it long and dramatic or wrap it around your neck for warmth. The piece begins with two rectangles that are worked separately and expand to cover each shoulder and ends with a high, cozy neck. The back and front are joined with a simple three-needle bind-off.

Difficulty Easy

Finished Size 13.5” wide at lower edge and 38.25” long to shoulder.

Yarn Stacy Charles Fine Yarns BioMerino (100% extrafine organic merino wool; 120 yd / 1.75 oz): #750 mustard, 10 balls. Yarn distributed by Tahki Stacy Charles, Inc.

Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 16” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Markers; stitch holder; spare circular needle in same size or smaller; tapestry needle.

Notes This scarf is worked in two pieces to the neck, then the pieces are joined for about half of their width using three-needle bind-off and the remaining stitches are joined to work in the round and form the neck.
