【About the design】
I created this pattern for Tokyo Yarn Crawl 2022. Inspired by the windows of a skyscraper. 窓 means Window in Kanji, and Mado is the Japanese reading of window.
These mitts are worked with slip stitches and garter stitch, so only one color is used at a time. Everything in this pattern is worked flat except the thumb. The thumbs are worked in the round.
A double edge is knitted on the cuffs and then the mitts are grafted into a tube.
Add a button or embroidery at the overlapping part to make it special.

When worn, the left and right mitts can be swapped for a very different look.
