This basic sock pattern is the perfect introduction to crochet socks. They are worked cuff down, meaning they are easily adjusted for the perfect fit.
Named after Magdalen College in Oxford as I imagined them being worn on spring May days and the start of May for me always makes me think of that Oxford tradition where the Choir sings from the top of the Bell Tower.

Sock is worked cuff down, with a heel flap and heel turn, gusset shaping and a square toe.

I used 1 x 100g skein of sock yarn and 2 x 20g mini skeins.
