Magic Beans
Bring fun and adventure to sock knitting with this delightful pattern. Worked first from heel to toe with a lovely leafy vine design, a magical opening reveals stitches to work the leg of the sock. The leaf pattern continues upward, mirroring the foot. As captivating to knit as it is to wear.
Worked in the round from heel to toe, with a waste yarn placeholder inserted for the leg of the sock. The foot features a “toe-up” heel and a grafted wedge toe. After stitches are picked up, the waste yarn is removed and the leg is worked upwards to the cuff. A charted and written leaf pattern is provided to cascade down the foot and up the leg.
Magic Beans is featured in the eBook collection Stepping Out: Unique Moves. Toe-up and cuff-down in the round aren’t the only way to create a sock! Unique Moves features four sock patterns with unusual constructions from the brilliant mind of designer Holli Yeoh. Featuring socks knit from the centre out, flat, and more, this set of patterns reimagines how socks can be knit, but the clear instructions and helpful diagrams require no stretch of the imagination from the knitter.
This knitting pattern includes detailed written directions, charts and written charted instructions, front and back images, assembly diagram, and adjustable foot/leg length.
