Finished Measurements: 83” in diameter
Yarn: Jamieson & Smith Jumperweight Shetland (1 oz/28g; 150yd/137m; wool) 15 skeins; sample in the book used Persimmon #125
Needles:
- Size 8 (5mm) needles in double-pointed (dpn) and circular, 16” and 24” (40cm and 60cm) long, or size to obtain gauge
- Optional: One size 4 or 5 (3.5 or 3.75mm) dpn, for edging
Extras:
- Size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
- Stitch marker
- Rust-proof T--pins
Blocked Gauge: 16 sts to 4”/10cm in St st using size 8 (5mm) needles
Notes:
- Shawl is knit from center outward. Change from dpn to increasingly longer circular needles as number of sts permits.
