Magical is composed of intersecting medallions, each worked in a different combination of exuberant colors. This is a fun-to-knit modular project. The medallions are worked individually (makes a great take-along project), and then joined be working the 4 point stars and diamonds which have a small seam to finish them.

All knitting is flat and can be performed on circulars or straight needles. The blanket has a square shape and an organic border.

The last 3 photos show an alternate color assignment, less randomized, where all diamonds are assigned the same dark color. This small test swatch of the blanket was worked in Rowan Felted Tweed (DK), held single.
