Maine Squeeze
Maine Squeeze is the “knit at any gauge” shawl pattern of my dreams. As a handspinner, I’m always searching for the “perfect pattern” to match the yardage and weight of my hand spun yarn. So I created a pattern that would work for any skein in my stash or yours!
Garter stitch stripes and two color brioche are delightfully squishy and this shawl is perfectly sized to be easily snuggled up around your neck.
This pattern is ideal for handspinners or anyone looking to make the most of their yardage from a special skein of yarn.
If you’d like to knit the shawl as shown, use two skeins of DK weight yarn and follow the pattern as written. For the “choose your own adventure” knitter, the formula in this pattern allows you to substitute exactly the yarn that you want to use, with help from a kitchen scale.
