Maize
Cropped pullover inspired by the pattern on a fine antique Inca pot. Sweater is worked in stranded two-color knitting in one piece from cuff to cuff, with a steek for the lower body opening. Front neck shaping is stitched and cut during finishing.
Yarn: Fingering-weight, super fine yarn
- About 125 (150, 200) grams of a light color (A)
- About 125 (100, 150) grams of a dark color (B),
- Small amounts of five contrasting colors
- Model in book used Isager Alpaca 2 (50% merino, 50% alpaca; 247m / 270yds; 50g / 1.76oz); and Isager Wool 1 (100% wool; 310m / 340yds; 50g / 1.76oz)
Needles:
- Body and sleeves - size 3 mm / US 2, 40 and 60 cm / 16” and 24” circular needles, and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles.
- Facings - size 2.5 cm / US 1, 40 and 60 cm / 16” and 24” circular needles, and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles.
- Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
