Majestic Stag cushion
The Majestic Stag cushion pattern is inspired by our Scottish holiday a few years ago, and uses a mixture of intarsia and tapestry crochet techniques to create the central stag motif and the tartan border and back panel. The pattern has detailed instructions, along with a video tutorial, to help you to create your own stunning cushion in a colour combination to match your décor. If you prefer to work from charts, the pattern also has a chart and a link to a larger version of it should you require it. Full finishing instructions are provided (including how to make the tassels, because I love how they add to the effect!)
It uses DK weight yarn in four colours and a 3.5mm hook.
You’ll need just over 100g of the lighter main colour and 90g of the darker main colour, around 90g of a third colour (white in the sample version) and 40g of a contract colour for the stripes.
It is designed with an envelope back which is fastened with toggles.
The finished cushion measures approximately 42cm x 42cm.
I hope you have fun creating, please share your finished makes with me on Instagram www.instagram.com/hooked_stitched_and_glued !
