Making Waves
Making Waves is one of the best textured sweaters I’ve ever seen. The different stitch patterns echo the back and forth of the waves, the tides coming in and going out, the wind blowing in different directions.
Reminiscent of the traditional fisherman jumpers worn all over the North of Europe, Making Waves is worked from the top down. The round yoke is shaped by increases hidden in the textured stitch patterns. After one panel is finished, the stitches are cast off, and then picked back up again. The deep yoke ensures a relaxed fit and transitions into the intuitive stitch pattern used on the body. The sleeves are worked in stockinette.
