“I WAS inspired by built structures when designing this colourblock top: the lace is reminiscent of bridge cables, and the plaited cables are the support pillars,” explains Mary Henderson. “Rowan Felted Tweed gives a flexible handle and softness to the design, so it is a comfortable garment to wear. It begins with separate front and back borders to give side vents, and is then joined to work in the round. The short sleeves are worked from the shoulders down, and the neck and sleeves use an i-cord cast-off for a neat finish.”
