Mareta es el murmullo constante del mar en calma. Inspirado en las pequeñas olas (mareta en portugués y gallego) que llegan a la orilla y se deshacen sobre la arena, este chal semicircular juega con el ritmo del agua: Comienza con un montaje de lengüeta de punto bobo y alterna secciones de punto jersey que evocan la quietud del océano, mientras el punto calado dibuja ondas que avanzan y retroceden, como una respiración. El borde repite ese mismo motivo, extendiendo la sensación de movimiento hasta el final. Mareta captura la esencia del mar cuando no ruge, cuando simplemente conversa con el viento.

2 madejas de Baby alpaga lace de Quechua Alpaca (100% baby alpaca) (800 m/100 g) o cualquier otro hilado de grosor lace de composición similar.
En la muestra se ha usado el color 1895 QA24L.

MATERIALES

• Agujas circulares de 3 mm (o las necesarias para obtener la muestra de tensión) y cable de, al menos, 80 cm.
• Marcadores.
• Hilo de desecho.
• Aguja lanera.
• Tijeras.

Mareta is the constant murmur of the calm sea. Inspired by the small waves (mareta in Portuguese and Galician) that reach the shore and dissipate on the sand, this semi-circular shawl plays with the rhythm of the water: It begins with a garter-tab cast-on and alternates stockinette stitch sections that evoke the stillness of the ocean with lace sections drawing waves that advance and retreat, like a gentle breath. The edge repeats that same motif, extending the sensation of movement to the end. Mareta captures the essence of the sea when it does not roar, when it simply whispers to the wind.

YARN
2 skeins of Baby alpaga lace from Quechua Alpaca (100% baby alpaca) (800 m/100 g) or any other lace weight yarn of a similar composition.
The sample shown used the color 1895 QA24L.

MATERIALS

• 3 mm circular needles (or size needed to get gauge) and a cable of at least 80 cm.

• Waste yarn.
