This baby is named Margaux, she is my niece and I made this cardigan for her before I knew her. The cardigan has of course been named after her.

The Margaux cardigan has braids on the sleeves and eyelets for raglan increases, and yet another braid for button band at the front. The cardigan is worked top-down in two colours.

This yarn is alpaca/silk and it was plant dyed by myself, using yellow onion skins and rusty nails. On the photos you can see the smallest size (newborn) on a truly newborn baby. And yes, they really are that tiny.

Yarn
Alpakka/Silke, Sandnes, 218 m/ 50 g (218 yds / 1.76 oz).
MC: 1 (2, 2) balls
CC: 1 ball

Colourways
MC: Variegated yellow and brown, this yarn was hand dyed with tea/rusty nails/yellow onion skins.
CC: Brown, this yarn was also hand dyed with tea/rusty nails/yellow onion skins.

Note on meterage: The CC uses up very little colour,
ca 20-30 g / ¾ -1 oz so you can use a mini skein or
left-overs if you have.
