Marigold and her friend, Mr. Chatters love the fall season. They enjoy jumping in a pile of leaves, chasing the wind, gathering acorns, and laying down watching the leaves fall.

Sweet little Marigold is only about 1.5 inches tall when made with Oren Bayan cotton perle size 12 thread (or Lizbeth 40) and a 1 mm hook. Her friend Mr. Chatters is about 1/2 of an inch when made with the same thread and hook.

But do not let the tiny size discourage you!

Since this pattern only uses one type of thread and hook, you can use any yarn or thread to make your own Marigold and Mr. Chatters. In the pattern, I have given examples of three different versions: one made with the Oren Bayan thread, one made with Aunt Lydia’s size 10 thread and a 1.5 mm hook, and one made with super chunky yarn and a 5.5 mm hook.
