The snow on the mountain sides surrounding the valley is slowly receding as the cold harsh winter finally turns to spring. The fields of the valley are coming alive as they transform from brown to green. Soon the meadows will be a garden of wildflowers dancing in the wind.

Yarn: Western Sky Knits Magnolia Sock; Fingering; 80% Merino, 10% Cashmere goat, 10% Nylon; 400 yards / 113 grams
Yardage:
Color A: 450 yards/ 412 meters
Color B: 450 yards/ 412 meters
Gauge: 24 sts and 26 rows in 4 inches/ 10 cm on size 4 needles in stockinette
Needles: US 4/ 3.5 mm
Notions: Stitch marker, cable needle, and darning needle for weaving in ends.
Notes: This shawl is started with a classic garter tab cast on and worked from the top center down. Once the main body of the shawl is complete a sideways knitted-on edging is added.
